Welcome
Human connections are deeply nurtured in the field of shared story. ~ Jean Houston
One of our most basic human needs is to connect and communicate. West Coast Stuttering Center was founded by me, Bailey Levis, M.S., CCC-SLP, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and person who stutters.
The mission of West Coast Stuttering Center is to provide holistic and integrative speech therapy to support you or your child in meeting this need with dignity and confidence. From childhood through adulthood, I focus on helping individuals engage in communication without fear or anxiety. Personalized speech therapy will guide you to feel understood and to freely engage with the world around you.

Therapeutic Approaches...
Combining evidence-based approaches with decades of combined experience researching and treating stuttering, as well as being a person who also stutters, I guide clients toward achieving their goals through highly personalized therapy.
For school-age, teens, and adult clients, my therapeutic approach is guided by methods that increase confidence as a communicator while learning to stutter more easily. You are not broken. You don’t need to be fixed.
For preschool-aged children, my approach focuses on coaching parents on how to support healthy communication attitudes and resilience in their child while also creating a more relaxed communicaiton environment.

Meet Bailey V. Levis, M.S., CCC-SLP
I love stuttering. I love to stutter. I love talking about stuttering, I love teaching about stuttering, and I love to support people who stutter and their families. I have known many people who stutter, and they are brave and resilient. However, many people who stutter do not engage with life in the way they would like to because of their fears and anxieties. I experienced this well into my 20s. I have since transformed my own experiences with speaking into something I love doing - supporting clients through compassionate and dedicated therapy that honors who they are.
